Lacey Jones: The Poker Barbie!
Lacey Jones is not just a talented poker player but she has been labeled several times as the “Poker Hottie”! Lacey is a certified poker babe, model, actress and TV hostess. To top it off all she has beauty and brains and was recently nicknamed the Poker Barbie.
Jones started playing poker as a kid when on vacation with her family in South Carolina. The Jones Clan usually spent their time at their beautifully designed beach house playing poker all night. At the age of 22, she graduated from the Arizonian University and made her way past the mainstream poker tournament on ESPN. She was actually hired as a model for these tournaments and since she possessed the right skill to tackle poker, the online poker overlords Absolute Poker hired her to represent them at some of the events. This was truly her big break into the poker world.
All she needed to do there was look pretty, but instead Lacey stunned her fellow players when she finished 32nd out of 360 players in the field. After this incident, Absolute Poker approached her once more, sponsoring the beauty to play along with Mark Self and to brush up on the finer points of the poker game.
The training seemed to be a big help and paid off well for Lacey’s next big events. She went on to cash in three tournaments in the year 2006. Starting from 2005, she participated in the World Series of Poker and still continues to do so every single year without fail. Her favorite games are 7 Card Razz and Seven Card Stud poker… Am guessing her favorite number is Seven!
In 2007, Lacey was asked to host and present the poker bracelet for the World Series of Poker event. The same year she hosted the U.S. Poker Bowl for Fox Sports and the Borgata Poker Open. Lacey Jones is considered the Woman of Poker and the Poker Barbie. The now 30 year old plans on going to law school and still continue to do what she does best.
