Try to switch on your radio….95% of chances you’ll have to listen to Lady GaGa singing “Poker Face”! Not that I don’t like the song…but man, can you have something else from time to time? I guess this is the reason why iPod have so much success…

But I have to admit that Lady Gaga conquered a corner in my heart….her song is about gambling so….I cannot help it, I like her barefaced attitude! Obviously when I meet my friends at the poker table they all love to sing Poker Face…with all the dancing moves….yeah, you can imagine!

But going back to our Lady Gaga, I tried to find on the net some more information about the connection between her and gambling and this is what I found, please read and make your own judgment. In an interview Lady GaGa said that while writing the lyrics for Poker Face she was thinking about all her ex boyfriends (all? How many?….mmmmhhhh I’m becoming envious). She told the magazine that she dated a lot of rock and roll guys, very keen on sex (don’t tell me…really??…unbelievable….), drinks (God, another surprise!) and gambling (ok this is better).

The lyrics of the song are about many different “topics”, Lady GaGa loves to gamble and so do her ex boyfriends, but there are hints about sex and booze. In another interview our Poker Face was asked about the meaning of “bluffin …with my muffin”…and guess what it means?! She said it was a nice way to refer to her vagina…(muffin – vagina…..I don’t see the connection, I’m getting old). She copied the line from another song she wrote years ago but that was never released (“Blueberry Kisses” was the title).

So here it is, a song which is not only about Poker, there is also some Texas Hold’em, a Russian Roulette (just not to get too bored), some casinos and ….”A little gambling is fun when you’re with me I love it”…. You know what Poker Face is a fun song…but I’ll never look to a muffin in the same way!
