Women and Gambling
I have read thousand of articles speaking about women and gambling and how they are different from men when it comes to betting and risking. And I tell you the truth, I didn’t like most of them, well some were offensive, far beyond what I can accept. There is always that air of condescension something like a pat on your back….meaning …. ok ok yes EVEN women can play. Even? EVEN? What the hell do they mean?
I do believe that women can be as good as men when it comes to gamble, is only that we got into the field later than men, but now we are narrowing the gap. It can be true that women are generally less interested in gaming, be it video games or online casino games. But those that enjoy the pleasure of this kind of entertainment have all the skills to excel, have success and win as much as our male counterpart. I do hate the boys astonishment when they get defeated by a woman at the poker table. What is that? Why that stare lost in emptiness? Is it so strange? Do they think that a woman doesn’t have the cool blood and enough intelligence to push them out of the pot?
